Amazon.com Product Description Forget the gym. Now you can enjoy a full cardio workout in the comfort of your home or office with this compact elliptical trainer from Stamina Products. Unlike full-size ellipticals, this trainer doesn't have arms or a front console. Instead, the trainer is essentially foot pedals only, with a chassis that's small enough to store under a desk or in a closet. Despite the small size, the trainer still packs a workout wallop, letting you burn a similar number of calories as jogging but without the risk of injury to the back, knees, hips, or ankles. Just keep your feet moving on the pedals--which continually oscillate in a low-impact manner--and you're set. Other details include sturdy steel construction, non-slip pedals, and an electronic fitness monitor that tracks the number of strides per minute, total number of strides, exercise time, and calories burned. About Elliptical Trainers Elliptical trainers represent the next wave of advancement in low-impact cardiovascular exercise machines and continue to grow in popularity. By simulating motions experienced through walking, stepping, cycling, and skiing, elliptical machines allow for a smooth and fluid motion while building strength in the arms and legs. Similar to the exercise position for treadmills, elliptical trainers are used by standing in an upright position while holding the handrails of the machine. With elliptical trainers, however, your feet remain in the foot pedals throughout the exercise regimen and circulate in a smooth and seamless motion, resulting in little to no impact on the knees, back, and hips. Elliptical trainers are compatible for all ages and fitness levels and allow you to select the difficulty level through the incline and intensity settings. Additionally, elliptical trainers allow you to determine the complexity of your workout based on your needs, all while listening to music, watching television, or reading a magazine while exercising in the comfort and safety of your own home. Although different types of elliptical trainers offer an assortment of features, many of them include an array of challenging programs, forward and reverse directional movement, EKG grip pulse handles, a lightweight portable design with easy fold-up capability, and a monitor displaying calories burned, distance, speed, time, and heart rate. Other types of exercise machines, namely treadmills and bikes, offer excellent cardiovascular exercise and muscular training for the legs in a forward-motion exercise. Elliptical trainers take this to the next level by offering an upper and lower body workout with dual motion, challenging and diverse programs, and a low-impact exercise machine that won't strain sensitive joints.

It WILL Break! March 10, 2010 Rubin (Chantilly, VA United States) This is the second InMotion trainer I have purchased. The first lasted about 4 months. The second lasted 2 weeks. Eventually the left pedal will start to wobble and then come completely off the track. It's obviously a defect in the design since the exact same break has occurred in a bunch of reviews below.
It was a great, little machine until it started to wobble. Its just a question of how long yours will last.

I purchased this machine to do cardio at home on those nights when I am too tired to go to the gym. It arrived quickly and took only minutes to assemble. I am in good shape ( 5'3 and 107 lbs...work out several times a week at the gym) and was still able to get a good workout on this machine! It was enjoyable and fun. This machine takes up almost no space at all. I don't have anything negative to say...I like the fact that I had to engage my core muscles to stay on it....I will post again in a few weeks to see if my love affair continues....
BUY THIS! You won't be disapointed. March 5, 2010 Frank Smith I live in a large coastal city where every square inch of my living space is premium. Years ago, I purchased the mini-stepper from Sharper Image. I literally was burning through each stepper on average every two to three months. The rod in the middle would snap (poor design). I bought another stepper from Target that had a cable in the middle, that cable broke within a month and a half. Finally I decided to compromise my space and bought a larger elliptical machine. I had it for about six months and the cross bar weld blew out. Here's the thing, I RUN on these and really give the machine a hell of a workout. This machine has stood up to my abuse for 2 months now without a sign of it breaking. I did have to tighten the bolts on the left foot petal about a month after using it. It's small, I can put it under my bed and am thrilled with the design! It's a simple bicycle petal and the foot pad rests on a roller blade wheel. Absolutely genus! I actually get a great cardio from this and work up a good sweat. I saw another reviewer here mentioning something about balance. I'm guessing they've never used any kind of cardio machine before because I didn't have an issue at all. The critique of the elliptical motion not being that big is valid but if you think of this as a stepper, that won't make a difference to you. I think the calorie counter is off. It says that I've burned 820 calories after an hour which I know from other machines and when I belonged to a gym, is not the case. I'm sure I'm getting a good 600 - 650 calorie burn after an hour on this. That's it for my review! Really happy with this! :)
Fantastic Purchase March 4, 2010 L. Garman I absolutely LOVE this machine. I was looking for something that wouldn't take up a lot of room in my house and that wouldn't make a lot of noise and this is perfect. It took me less 10 minutes to set up the machine and start using it. I admit I'm close to 200 pounds and have no difficulty keeping my balance while on it. I love the fact that the machine allows you to go forward and backwards and the best thing is that you can control the resistence. A lot of people complain about the short stride but I think it is really easy to get used to. I did have some knee pan the first few uses but after a few weeks of using I have little to no knee pain and have really built up my stamina. Another great feature is the computer on the machine. I exercise in the morning before going to work and get back on later in the evening and it keeps track of what I already accomplished earlier that day and I can reset every night for the next day. I don't feel guilty anymore watching my favorite shows on TV because I just hop on my elliptical trainer and get a fantastic workout for an hour.
Little Space & Little Time March 3, 2010 S Wicker 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this elliptical a few weeks ago as an alternative when I am short on time and can't make it to the gym. Using this elliptical with 3lb dumbbells has provided me just as good a work out as using the elliptical at the gym. I use a heart rate monitor and can easily reach my target zone (and above if I'm not careful).
You do have to get use to the shorter strides and not having something to hold onto, but after a few uses - you won't even notice.
The best thing about it, is I can use it in any room in my home at any time - it's light enough so I can carry it around. It's so quiet - I don't wake anyone when using it in the wee hours of the morning. My downstairs neighbors don't even complain.
It was also very easy to put together, I did it without the assistance of my husband.
A recommended buy if you are short on space but are looking for a good cardio workout.
